The political arm of the state's real estate association backed candidates committed to protecting property rights and small businesses.
The Alabama Realtors Political Action Committee, or ARPAC, the political arm of the Alabama Association of Realtors, announced Thursday its endorsements for statewide constitutional offices and appellate judicial seats in the 2026 election cycle.
“The endorsed candidates have shown a commitment to protecting property rights, supporting small businesses, upholding the rule of law, and fostering an economic atmosphere that allows Alabama’s real estate industry to remain healthy and growing,” ARPAC Board of Trustees Chair Sherri McCollum said.
Alabama Realtors Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Walker said ARPAC is confident the candidates will help advance the real estate industry.
“These candidates share a small business ideology grounded in hard work, free enterprise, and limited government. Their leadership will help keep Alabama competitive and ensure our state remains one of the best places in the country to live, raise a family, and do business. We look forward to supporting their campaigns,” Walker said.
ARPAC endorsed the following candidates:
- Governor: Tommy Tuberville
- Lieutenant governor: Wes Allen
- Attorney general: Jay Mitchell
- Secretary of state: Caroleene Dobson
- Treasurer: Young Boozer
- Agriculture commissioner: Jack Williams
- Supreme Court Place 7: Brad Mendheim
- Supreme Court Place 8: Greg Shaw
- Civil Appeals Court Place 4: Ben Bowden
- Civil Appeals Court Place 5: Matt Fridy
- Criminal Appeals Court Place 4: Mary Windom
- Criminal Appeals Court Place 5: Riggs Walker
- Public Service Commission Place 1: Matt Gentry
- Public Service Commission Place 2: Chris Beeker
- State Board of Education Place 2: Tracie West
