The River Region Veterans Coalition will host a nonpartisan candidate forum this July to discuss issues impacting veterans and the broader community.
The River Region Veterans Coalition, or RRVC, announced it will host a candidate forum for the 2026 general election at 6 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at Feast Buffet, 5831 Atlanta Highway in Montgomery, Alabama.
RRVC said the event will give candidates seeking public office an opportunity to present their platforms, share their priorities and address issues important to River Region residents—particularly veterans, military families and the broader community.
The forum will feature a moderated discussion and give attendees a chance to hear directly from candidates in a respectful, informative setting.
“The River Region Veterans Coalition is committed to strengthening our community by connecting citizens with the information they need to make informed decisions,” Jason Hughes, communications director for RRVC, said. “This forum is about providing a space for open dialogue and ensuring that the voices of veterans and our community are heard.”
RRVC said it is a nonpartisan organization and that the event is intended to educate voters, not advocate for any candidate or political party.
The event is open to the public, and RRVC encouraged community members to attend.
