Shelby County Republican Party to host candidate forum

Republican runoff voters can hear from contenders for statewide offices and Shelby County district judge Tuesday at the Pelham Civic Center.

The Shelby County Republican Party announced it will host a Republican Runoff Candidate Forum on Tuesday, May 26, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Center. The forum will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates participating in Republican runoff races for statewide offices and Shelby County district judge.

Offices represented in the forum include:

  • U.S. Senate
  • Lieutenant governor
  • Attorney general
  • Commissioner of agriculture and industries
  • Public Service Commission, Place 2
  • Shelby County district judge

JT of Alabama’s Morning News on NewsRadio 105.5 WERC will moderate the forum, providing a structured discussion on the key issues facing Alabama and the nation.

The party encouraged community members and Republican voters to attend. The event is open to the public.

The Shelby County Republican Party said it welcomes all supporters and “believes informed voters are essential to the strength of our party, our communities and our nation.”
