Clint Reid seeks 2nd term as College Republican Federation of Alabama chair

College Republican Federation of Alabama Chairman Clint Reid said Wednesday that he and his team are seeking re-election leading the group.

“My team and I are thrilled to be seeking a second term,” Reid said. “We’ve had a very successful year building support for our agenda especially seeking the closure of Chinese Communist Party-backed Confucius Institutes at Troy University and Alabama A&M and standing for pro-life efforts in the state. We look forward to laying the foundation going into the 2022 midterms to ensure a wave of Republican victories.”

The group condemned the violence in Washington by pro-Trump extremists who stormed the U.S. Capitol building, killing one law enforcement officer, Brian Sicknick, on Wednesday.

“We strongly condemn the events occurring in our nation’s Capitol,” the CRAF said in a statement. “We are the party of law and order, not the party of violence and chaos. Peace must be restored.”

Amelia Forbes is the secretary, Alan Crisologo is the treasurer, Justin Branum is the chief of staff, Conner Ettemueller is the Prolife Coalition leader, Lupita Contreras is the deputy chairwoman and Wyatt Davidson is the director of government affairs.
