The Alabama Minority Vendor Conference returns to Birmingham this weekend, inviting entrepreneurs and minority business leaders from Montgomery, Huntsville, rural communities, and across the state to participate in a “transformative two-day experience designed to scale businesses, strengthen communities, and expand opportunities across Alabama’s economy,” the organization’s release shared.

The conference will feature Egypt Sherrod, HGTV host, real estate broker and entrepreneur, during Friday’s Opening Luncheon, and acclaimed actor, producer and advocate Larenz Tate during Saturday’s Keynote Breakfast. Their stories of leadership, creativity and innovation will set the tone for two days of learning, networking and opportunity.

Conference sessions will cover mastering finance and capital, growth and innovation, marketing strategy, AI for business efficiency, leading and developing teams, and business development. Attendees will also experience The Exchange for Small and Minority Businesses, a dedicated space connecting businesses directly with agencies, contractors and corporations seeking capable partners.

“This conference is about more than networking – it is about creating real pathways for minority-owned businesses to build capacity, win bigger contracts, and strengthen the economic foundation of our communities,” said William Barnes, CEO of the Urban League of Alabama. “When we invest in minority businesses, we invest in the future of Alabama.”

Organizers encourage small and minority-owned businesses to register now at www.MinorityVendorConference.com and use promo code LASTCHANCE to save $25 while sponsored discounts last.

Conference leaders and partners are available for interviews upon request.

“The Minority Vendor Program, MVP, connects businesses with contracting opportunities, expert-led training, and networking with industry leaders,” MVP said.
