Today, April 15 at 3 p.m. CDT, during House Democrats’ Social Security Day of Action, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, AL-07, will host a “Terri Talks” virtual discussion entitled “Hands Off Social Security!” Rep. Sewell will be joined by the former Social Security commissioner under President Biden, Governor Martin O’Malley.

The conversation will be streamed live on Rep. Sewell’s official FacebookInstagramYouTube, and X pages.

“They will discuss the latest attempts by President Trump and Elon Musk to dismantle the Social Security Administration and how ordinary Americans can fight back,” Rep. Sewell’s release shared.

As a member of the Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee, Rep. Sewell has been a leading voice for protecting and expanding Social Security benefits which are relied upon by more than 160,000 residents of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. Sewell recently participated in House Democrats’ Steering and Policy Committee hearing “exposing the Trump-Musk scheme to dismantle Social Security,” the release described. Watch it here.
