Statehouse Democrats announce listening, town hall tour

Statehouse Democrats announce listening, town hall tour
House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels speaks at the Statehouse in April 2018.

During the next month, the Alabama House Democratic Caucus members will travel across the state to participate in a town hall tour.

They hope to speak with constituents in regards to the next legislative session, asking them about issues close to home that they want their representatives to prioritize.

“With so many issues and challenges facing us in the upcoming session, these meetings provide a great opportunity to ensure we are prioritizing our citizens’ concerns,” said House Minority Leader Anthony Daniel, D-Alabama.

The first session will take place today, Feb. 12, in Thomasville, Alabama, with Rep. Thomas Jackson.

Stops on the tour include Mobile, Selma, Opelika, Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery and Phenix City.

Specific dates will be available on the caucus’ Twitter and the Alabama House Democrats Facebook page.
