AL.com columnist Kyle Whitmire released an opinion Thursday questioning Ivey's whereabouts and detailing his struggle to find answers from the governor's office.

The governor's chief of staff, Jo Bonner, is set to leave after the end of the year to serve as president of the University of South Alabama. 

Liz Filmore will be the first female chief of staff of any Alabama governor.

Bonner, Gov. Kay Ivey's chief of staff, has served in her office since December 2018.
