Gov. Ivey welcomes Alabama students back for new school year
The governor urged students to embrace new opportunities while thanking teachers, administrators and parents for supporting the year ahead.
Governor Kay Ivey on Friday released a video message welcoming Alabama students back to school and encouraging them to embrace the opportunities of a new academic year.
Ivey also thanked Alabama’s teachers, school leaders and parents for their role in preparing the next generation for success.
“As students return to classrooms across our state, I want them to know they have my full support,” Ivey said. “I will be keeping our students, teachers and parents in my prayers, and I look forward to seeing all they accomplish this school year.”
