Stuart Lang to lead Mobile County GOP after chairman Ken Kvalheim resigns
Ken Kvalheim’s resignation set up an interim transition as Mobile Republicans prepared for November races and an October 5 chairman vote.
The Mobile County Republican Executive Committee announced Monday that Chairman Ken Kvalheim has resigned.
Vice Chairman Stuart Lang will serve as the committee’s presiding officer until members elect a new chairman at their October 5 meeting.
“We are deeply grateful for the service of longtime member Ken Kvalheim,” Lang said. “Ken served in the Legislature and has been a strong party member since Republicans were in the minority. We appreciate his dedication and look forward to his continued support.”
Lang said the county party will focus on the November elections.
“Our party is focused on our November elections and will continue to work toward securing our races, with Senator Tuberville leading our ticket as our nominee for governor,” Lang said.
