Rhett Marques endorsed by Electric Cooperatives of Alabama PAC
The Enterprise lawmaker touted energy affordability and rural infrastructure as he campaigns for the August 11 special election.
The Electric Cooperatives of Alabama Political Action Committee announced Tuesday its endorsement of state Representative Rhett Marques for Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District.
“Throughout his time in the state Legislature, Rhett has been a strong advocate for policies that support economic growth, strengthen infrastructure and help Alabama’s rural communities thrive,” PAC Chairman Jeff Hodges said. “We have no doubt that he will bring that same commitment to Washington and be a strong advocate for Alabama’s electric cooperatives.”
Marques, an Enterprise native who has represented Alabama House District 91 since 2018, welcomed the endorsement and said he remains committed to advancing policies that “strengthen American energy and support Alabama families.”
“Electric cooperatives deliver reliable, affordable energy to the families, farms and small businesses that power Alabama’s Second Congressional District. I’m honored to have their endorsement as they help deliver American energy dominance,” Marques said. “I’m running to keep fighting to unleash American energy, lower costs for hardworking families, strengthen our national security and restore the United States as the world’s leading energy producer.”
The special election for Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District will be held August 11, 2026.
