Two sentenced in Riverfront brawl, co-captain charge dismissed

Two men involved in the Montgomery Riverfront brawl were sentenced Friday while Harriett II co-captain Dameion Picket had his third-degree assault charge dismissed.

Zachary Shipman and Alan Todd both pleaded down to harassment after also being charged with third-degree assault for their roles in the melee.

Shipman and Todd will have to complete 100 hours of community service, complete an anger management course, and pay a $100 fine plus court costs.

Neither will see jail time, as they each received a suspended 60-day sentence with a 12-month probationary period. 

Both men were arrested and charged by Montgomery police. Pickett was not charged by police, but by a private individual involved in the fight. 

Reggie Ray, the man seen on video swinging a folding chair, will appear in court Monday.
