Alabama Forestry Association endorses Sen. Donnie Chesteen

The Alabama Forestry Association has endorsed state Sen. Donnie Chesteen, R-Geneva, in his bid to win re-election to his Senate District 29 seat. 

“Donnie has done a remarkable job defending the conservative principles that the people of his district value,” said AFA president and CEO Chris Isaacson in a statement. “He is committed to protecting and improving the business, legal and regulatory environment in our state for all Alabamians. We are proud to support him in his bid for reelection.”

Chesteen served two terms as a representative for state House District 87 before being elected in 2018 to represent state Senate District 29

Chesteen is a member of the Senate Agriculture and Forestry Committee and serves as vice chairman of the Senate Education Policy Committee.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Alabama Forestry Association, and I’m grateful to have their support in my efforts to reflect the conservative voices of those in my district,” Chesteen said in a statement. “I look forward to working with AFA over the next four years as they continue their commitment to supporting the forestry in Alabama.”
