Senators Reed, Singleton welcome Kirk Hatcher to the Senate

Senate Pro Tem Greg Reed, R-Jasper, and Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton, D-Greensboro, released the following statement welcoming Kirk Hatcher, D-Montgomery, to the Senate:

“It was a pleasure to welcome our new colleague, former Representative Kirk Hatcher, to the Senate today. It is an honor to serve the state of Alabama in this body, and I am confident Senator Hatcher will apply the same dedication and hard work to the Senate as he did in his time in the House of Representatives.” Reed said. “I look forward to working with him in a bipartisan manner as we seek to move our state forward.”             

“I want to congratulate Mr. Hatcher on his win on Tuesday,” said Singleton. “We welcome him to our ranks and look forward to him hitting the ground running.” 

Hatcher was sworn in to represent District 26 in the Alabama State Senate.
